Community Relations

A good neighbor supporting local communities and causes

Green Plains can only be as successful as the communities where we live and operate. We strive to support and strengthen each one through sponsorships, donations and volunteer work.

We know our neighbors: We celebrate their record crop years, donate to our local food banks and participate in community clean-up efforts.

In many of our communities, we partner with local FFA and 4-H Clubs, fostering a passion for agriculture in young people.

Green Plains is a 2021 Step Forward Award winner.

The start line of Corporate Cup

Since 2017, Green Plains has been the presenting sponsor of the American Lung Association Corporate Cup in Omaha. The annual event raises much needed funding for education, lung disease research, support, programs and services. As a biofuel producer, Green Plains knows the value of clean air, and the devastating effects of air pollution on human and animal health.

In each of our communities, Green Plains is making a difference. We take our corporate citizenship seriously and hold ourselves accountable as good stewards and good neighbors.
